MICHAEL SCOTT MCBRIDE
OVERVIEW: Mr. McBride is managing the operations at NuConsult Services in his capacity as the VP – Field Services. He possesses over 30 years of experience in the renewable energy industry working in different positions. Scott is responsible for NUConsult Field Service program which includes end of warranty and contract auditing program.

WORK EXPERIENCE: From March 1993 to April 2002, Mr. McBride worked as the Purchasing Manager for SeaWest WindPower Inc. Mr. McBride’s duties and responsibilities included purchasing spare parts and overseeing construction for all SeaWest facilities and projects. Mr. McBride also directed company-wide inventory control for both SeaWest and customer-owned spare parts inventories.
- From April 2002 to August 2003, Mr. McBride worked as a Contract Administrator for Texas Wind Power. Mr. McBride’s duties and responsibilities included administration of manufacturer and third-party contracts, various roles in new project and construction, data validation, and reporting.
- From August 2003 to September 2005, Mr. McBride served as the Plant Manager for Shell Wind Energy at a 160 MW wind plant. Mr. McBride’s duties and responsibilities included third-party contract administration, wind turbine and balance of plant maintenance, data control, and safety.
- From September 2005 to September 2008, Mr. McBride held the position of Area Operations Manager for Shell Wind Energy. He was directly responsible for the performance of five wind plants, which totaled over 500 MW. Mr. McBride’s accomplishments in this role included developing and implementing wind turbine and balance of plant maintenance strategies to increase availability and production. He also developed and directed procedures for data control and editing to streamline the data process and improve data accuracy. Additionally, he played a key role in developing and enforcing safety programs with the goal of eliminating injuries.
- In September 2008, Mr. McBride joined NRG Energy as a Regional Operations Manager for Wind Generation in Texas. Mr. McBride’s role was expanded in 2015 to include New Mexico and Oklahoma, totaling over 1,200 MW. This position requires a focus on safety, reliability, data integrity, and production. In August 2016, Mr. McBride assumed the position of General Manager for NRG Renew/Clearway Energy. In this role, Mr. McBride was responsible for Clearway’s Alta Wind site, which had a capacity of 945 MW, as well as 817 MWAC of solar projects in California.
